ChatGPT is an AI platform, provided by a research company OpenAI. This research is being funded by Microsoft. It has an interface as a chat box. Its feature is like, the user can ask any question in that chat and the interface will return the answer.
What is ChatGPT? Chat stands for a normal chatting-like feature. And GPT stands for “Generative Pre-trained Transformer”. It means the machine is generating based on historical data, which it found over the internet. So essentially ChatGPT is nothing but an AI model, which works based on ML algorithms like neural networks and it uses data available all across the web and generates results on its basis.
ChatGPT can replace you?
The straightforward answer to this question is no. But why? Although it can generate text-based content and code snippets as well, it does not have human intelligence.
Even in today’s world, people are using ctrl + c and ctrl + v for multiple tasks like content research and finding code snippets. In the similar, this could be a really great tool as a one-stop solution for getting the gist of web searches on any topic.
So eventually this tool should be very helpful in the coming future for all sorts of professionals.
Will it kill Google Search?
No doubt this is a really great tool, but it’s too early to say anything that it will kill all search engines since this tool has been just launched in the market as a beta version. So, we still do not how Open.AI or Microsoft is going to use it.
But one thing is for sure, it may create good competition for Google, and the Google team will also be thinking along similar lines and may come out with something similar. An interesting thing will be what is going to be the business model around it.
Only time will tell which way this new gen thing will turn out.
